In preparation for the Feast of the Holy Trinity this Sunday June 4, there is a super cool prayer called the Trisagium Angelicum (https://www.preces-latinae.org/thesaurus/Trinitas/Trisagion.html) which you can pray starting tomorrow Friday, then on Saturday, and finally on Sunday (these 3 prep days are called a “Triduum”) to help you grow in love with the Holy Trinity. God is Triune – 3 persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. You can’t get any better than Them (the only real pronoun worth its weight in gold). Since we are all on the road to Heaven, having a daily relationship with each Person now while on Earth is vital in order to grow in Love with Them and thus everyone around us. Here are some ways to help with this: anytime you see the number 3 or multiples of 3 (6, 9, 12, etc), maybe say a “Glory Be”. Or, if any of you are sports fans, specifically basketball (like I am), if you watch the Denver Nuggets vs Miami Heat game and observe the players take or make a 3 point shot, tell our Lord “Glory 3”! We should think of other ways to do this many times throughout the day. One day, when our Lord decides our time on Earth is up (called Death), we will want to “remind” Them (actually They don’t need reminding – they know everything) how we tried to do everything for Their Glory!
Let us ask our Lady’s help in deepening our relationship with Them. St. Josemaria EscrivĂ (Founder of Opus Dei) always loved to refer to her as “Daughter of God the Father, Mother of God the Son, Spouse of God the Holy Spirit, no one greater than her but God”.
Stay tuned for another post on the actual Feast Day on Sunday!
