Today is traditionally Good Shepherd Sunday. Our Lord is the Good Shepherd as He tells us “I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down is life for the sheep”. He said he would die for us and and then take it back up again (that is, to rise again, which He did 4 weeks ago!). There are other times when He predicted He would die and rise again. And yet, alas, we forget so many times. We too are shepherds of the people (sheep) around us. Let us ask our Lord to help us be good shepherds of the sheep we are responsible for, by leading everyone to Heaven, as our Lord continues to egg us on. Don’t give up He tells: persevere when it is difficult and trust in Me, because I can’t wait for you to be with Me; I loving you and you loving Me!
